So I update to minecraft 1.3.1 today and either I can't find the newer version of modloader that's compatible for minecraft 1.3.1 or something's going stupidly wrong. I deleted my meta-inf folder add in the modloader and then run minecraft and i get a black screen....
Yea happend to me to man. Its because there is not an updated version of modloader (1.3.1) out yet :(. We just have to wait patiently, but it should be out within the next few days. Hope this helps!
its pissing me off that modloader doesn't automatically update
When Minecraft updates, all of the code changes. Each change has to found, checked out, then compensated for. After all of the class files are compensated for and features are added { new hooks for SSP cheats, etc. - the 1.3 update was a huge change } then it has to be tested. Only after all of that can it be actually released.

This has been done the code changes have already been looked at tested now the cheat engines and mods are the only things left to deal with.
TMI is usually the first mod to update because it has no dependencies. Supprisingly modloader is usually the last of the more basic mods to update. When 1.2 came out I believe it took about 5ish days to update. However that is just what it felt like to me. It may have been only a few. Nothing to do but wait for Risugami to update it.
EDIT: By more basic I mean it doesn't require 4 different types of base mods to work. i.e (Forge, ModloaderMP, TurboModelThingy, etc...)
I had managed to successfully install modloader for 1.3.1 along with too many items. It let me play for a while, but it occasionally crashed and al i had to do was relaunch Minecraft. Suddenly it crashed again so i tried reinstalling modloader and got a black screen. Whats up with that?
Guys why don't you all just use mcpatcher. I use it instead of modloader because if minecraft has a bug, i can just patch it and its fine! Its also really good with HD texture packs and downloading any mods!

and 2. new minecolony
yesterday i got minecolony and i only played for a day, now its gone. D:
The update just came out so no servers are up to date yet, it probably wouldn't hurt to downgrade for a few days.
its probably for beta though
