my minecraft crashed after i installed a texture pack. i reach the mojang part then after that, it says minecraft and has a brown screen the it says minecraft has crashed.... so on. it is 11:36 now an minecraft has been crashed since about 9:00 last night. could someone please help me!

I am bringing to attention what seems to be a well known problem: Why is there not a control for weather in the game? Especially on the single player peaceful setting of things for the people who ONLY want to build? I have built several out door attractions including an outdoor pool, over 10 waterfalls, a water slide, 2 humungous flower gardens, all that are built with the design for there to be no weather status problems, just the normal sunny skies. Since they have decided to add weather, not only have I had lag, but everything I have built outdoors has been ruined solely due to the weather that was just recently added. I will also again address the fact that the player should not have to resort to adding a user created mod to the game in order to fix this problem. Any good developer is going to listen to the posts of the fans of the game and see what they want. From where I am sitting I can see a lot of complaints about the problems that the weather has added. Also, I have been a video game tester for over 3 years now for Nintendo of America so bug testing is what I do every day. There is more than 1 bug with the added weather. If I am banned from this site simply because I am requesting this be fixed, I will get another IP Address and create a new account on this website as well as continue t address this problem until it is fixed. Why? Not because I am trying to be rude or annoying, but because I love Minecraft so much that I am willing to fight for what I love and that IS this game. Please I pray that this message does not fall on deaf ears because it would be a large number of great fans much like myself.

I cant actually get onto minecraft.net for some reason. I tryed on all my web browsers but all it says is Oops! Google Chrome cannot connect to minecraft.net. Help please because I plan to buy minecraft soon.

Everything works fine but when i log on as soon i as a click the open world thing it goes black :/

i deleted my minecraft.jar due to a couple of issues and i cant get it back! when i run minecraft again it doesnt reinstall and fix the problem and it freezes at the loading screen. please help.

I'm a very new player of Minecraft. Started in Beta 1.7.3, Survival Peaceful, Single Character. I loved the game .. activities, animals etc and building. The music was lovely and was a definitely mood enhancer ^^.

I upgraded to 1.8, and then 1.8.1
.. this was a bit rough as my 'pet' wolf became aggressive and was joined in attacking me by a bunch of ravening cohorts (I think it's because somehow my Peaceful mode got forced into a different level). No worries though.. stuff happens in Betas.. and I generated a new world and now have the pleasant opportunity to play in Creative Mode.. I really like it!!

However, (and here is my question):

Should I expect music to play in Creative mode in beta 1.8.1? For me, it doesn't and I really miss it. (I don't mean the Juke Box .. but rather the background music which comes up more or less randomly)... for me, it truly enhances game play.

(I've tried Survival mode in the beta 1.8.1 and the music plays.. but in Creative mode, it doesn't seem to, and I can't think why it would be available in one mode and not the other)

Could someone please let me know if it should... and if it should .. perhaps help me get it to play?

My save file is not showing up in the save folder. yet i can still play my world. I can't even back up my game...help?

Minecraft doesn't have any sound for me. I've tried tinkering with the settings, but there's no use. Any help?

My friends and I had made a multiplayer server whilst minecraft was version 1.7.
Now that it is updated, with the new Creative and Survival modes, we would very much like our server to be set to Creative mode, yet it seems to be stuck in Survival mode or the default mode it was while in 1.7.
We have tried changing the server properties settings marked "gamemode =0" to 1 or 2, but it doesn't change in-game.
If anyone knows how to change our multiplayer server to Creative mode, it would be much appreciated if you could help us out. :smile.gif:

EDIT: Turns out, others (then the two who own the server as well as me) who join the server are on creative mode, can fly and have access to every item when opening their inventory. We have no idea how to allow ourselves the same luxuries. Muchly appreciate some help. :S

I used the method in a thread on here to restore my map after my computer crashed (replace corrupted level.dat with one from a freshly created map, then edit it with NBEDIT) . It seems to have worked as my map is back, and i can get back to my house and it all seems fine. However once i restore the map i can only play in it for about 3 minutes until it gets a little choppy. Then it gets very choppy. Then it gets unplayable where it takes a good 20 seconds to see my screen move. Saving and exiting and reloading doesnt fix it and once it gets to the very choppy stage it starts like that every time i load the map. I've tried the restoration several times with the same result. I tried disabling my HD texture pack and it still happens. I ensured i am using the correct java for my machine.

Any thoughts?

how do you stop the 'you have entered too many invalid passwords' thing? or is it just a time limit? if it is, how long is it?

Hey I have a server that I set up through the static ip help thing with portforward http://portforward.c...static-win7.htm The ip I used was 192.168.0.125. When I use the port checker tool it says everything is forwarded right, but it can't ping my router. I don't know if im using the correct ip or whatever, but when I try to change it to my external ip it never will connect to the internet. I am able to access my server through the ip that I put in, but my friends can't please help. My external ip is 68.96.78.101 and my router is a DIR-655.
