Im gonna tell you this as an IT nerd ive specialized in computers in highschool for three years dont buy an alien ware they are waaaaayyyy to overpriced you can build your own pretty easily for a third of the price and it would probably be a hell of alot better than an alien ware :smile.gif:

Where can I buy a thing that i install to my computer to get like 24gb ram?
Ram(Random Access Memory) is a part that you put in your computer. You can't install something that gives you it, you literally buy a a stick of RAM and open your computer up and put it in one of the (varying depending on model) slots on your motherboard.
There are 8 GB sticks of ram out now, that are ubber expensive. The most RAM slots I've seen on a motherboard were 6 (that person at max can get 48 GB of ram, OMG!) you'd need at least 3 slots of your motherboard and the most expensive RAM for each to get 24 GB.
But there is no way to just install it.
PS, 32 Bit systems sometimes have limits, example, Windows XP Professional 32 Bit will only recognize up to 3.5 GB of RAM, no matter how much you put in. Most 64 Bit Operating Systems will recognize all of the RAM.
And excuse me if I misunderstood what you meant by install, if you means place the piece on your computer then sorry.

yeah thats not what i meant but install but how much r they?
I'm surprised anyone here has lag at all! I use a Geforce FX 5200 (From like 2003), Intel Pentium 4 3.00GHZ(Around the same time), and 2 gigs of RAM, and yet I still get 20-30 FPS on Far. OS is Windows XP 32-bit.
Anyways, it doesn't help that much. Optifine might be good, since with that, I can get over 35 FPS on far.
I have found that using mcpatcher.exe and setting the memory usage from 750ish (default) to something useful like 2048 (2 gigs of ram) and then just maxing out whatever settings.
How?
