well whatever you did it worked, so thanks so much!

The map for the SMP server I play on is having what I believe is a corruption problem. A small number of chunks in the vicinity of 0,0 keep failing, and get overwritten with terrain from a different seed or something. This often results in deep holes or column mountains in the middle of our buildings.

An admin ran chunkster on the world and reported no problems but it keeps happening, often on restart.

Can you fix this? Is so will upload.

Simonofspace: This isnt really something I can fix, per se, but I have no qualms making a whack at it. Feel free to upload it, and if I can reproduce it and resolve it, I'll let you know

bigchen: What exactly was the problem you were having with it? I fired it up and it played normally. Maybe I'm missing something >.>

Uhh I don't know actually I thought it was bad chunks
because at like somewhere on the map people always gets the error end of stream
But I play with no error

After doing a little research, this seems to be something associated with the server. Either the server isnt powerful enough and craps out sometimes, or a network issue, or the players themselves trying to render too far. Either way, none of the people who get End of Stream issues fixed it with chunks, so I don't think I can help much here =/

If you do find that a particular chunk seems to cause problems in a reproducible manner, let me know.

Is it possible if you check around-231 -579 and can you delete every other bblock that are wayy out in like 2000s or something

I can move, but I cant put stuff down... I have No mods. I just walk around and whenever i try to right click nothing happens.

dv_Guardian: I was able to fix the bad chunks, but unfortunately it also prevented recovery of the parts of house they were in.

The upside is, you should be able to rebuild normally, and your world save will show up again.

Uh.. did you... fall? Just before the game crashed? When I loaded it.. there were buckets all over the ground >.>

Wow, am I lucky I found this thread! My computer overheated and shut down, apparently without saving. The files are there but they don't show up in the actual game. There are sparse houses, including one right next to spawn. It would be amazing if you could fix it!
