hey dude u may not remember me but u saved my map yesterday, thank you so much. i hate to sound picky, but unfortunately the seed was changed and it now snows all over the world no matter where i go, and i cant grow crops like this :sad.gif:. do u think u could randomly change the seed again for me real quick? it would mean alot
Problem: When I try to enter my world, it goes to 'Saving Chunks' and then I get a black screen. This began happening after I installed the latest version of Mo' Creatures mod. I was able to get into this world fine earlier today (before updating the mod) and my other worlds work fine now (after updating the mod). Just this world seems to be corrupted.
Version: This world was created on 1.8 and I'm still on 1.8.
Hey, Voordal. Maybe you can help me without having to help me directly. I have a map I've been working on quite a while, and the power flashed on and of early this afternoon. I found your website and got into the world with MCedit. Sure enough, the spawn was way, way down near the bedrock. I moved the player to the surface and got back into Minecraft. The world appeared on the world screen. Opened it up and things were fine at first. Then as I was trying to leave the area I was working in (via a long mine train), I got a saving chunk screen. It went black. I opened it up again and things were messed up. At first I could barely move, but after a while it freed up. I was getting between 120 and 190 FPS at that time. I immediately returned to the area that I had been working in while. Within a few seconds after getting to the surface I got huge lag spikes with a frame rate between 0 and 2 fps. Not quite frozen but nowhere near playable.
Then I go back to your site and download Chunkster. Run it. It runs for a while and corrected what looked to be a load of stuff. Before going back into minecraft I looked at things in MCedit. There were a couple of chunks completely gone. I thought they might be the problem and the game would replace them when I reloaded the world. Reloaded the world and it did sort of replace one of the chunks (replaced emptiness with dirt and a 1x16x16 pool of water. It replaced another chunk in a way such that it fit in with the surroundings. The last one wasn't replaced at all. Just a big, giant hole.
Other mysterious problems. At the surface where I was having problems when the power flashed on and off, there are a TON of sheep. Underground where I have a sort of subway station (at level 23) there are a ton of chickens wandering around in the surrounding caves.
Other than that, things are okay. Playable. But the fan in my computer is spinning up hard and my FPS has dropped to around 35, which is a lot, lot lower than I'm used to. So something is still wrong.
Thanks for any suggestions.
By the way, what are the red boxes in MCedit? There are a ton of them right at the edge of the chunk that didn't reload. Every time I get into MCedit I notice these red boxes, but this is the first time they've ever been that dense.
Just a small, but very importantly irritating problem. When I make a bucket, it doesn't pick up water. I saved my world file and completely re-installed minecraft, but the buckets still don't work, so i KNOW it's something wrong with my world file.
Veragod: I couldnt reproduce the problem, nor find anything particularly wrong with that map. I ran it through the hoops anyway, but I suspect it has something specifically to do with the mods. Without the the game ran flawlessly, for me. Give it a try and see if it works. Ill post in the morning.
Mineallday: The seed changes when the level goes corrupt, unless you have a backup with the original seed, or know the name you used for the seed, theres not much that can be done. If you'd like to change the seed yourself and see if you can get a better one, you're welcome to. Just use NBTEdit and open the level.dat and change the seed and save.

Debaser: What you described is exactly something I run into a lot. Bad chunks cause massive spawns. The red blocks are those chickens, sheep, etc. The hole, however, sounds like a chunk chunkster couldnt fix. It happens sometimes, and you might need to manually delete it with MCEdit. You should also do a 'select all' in mcedit, and delete all ENTITIES (not chunks!) to fix the animal problem. That SHOULD do it. If you still have problems, or just dont want to hassle with it, shoot it my way via the MCSaver.net website.
Vyndalhaus: Fixed - Will post in morning.
Skrappychap: Do you have any mods? You're welcome to post the world file but that doesnt sound like a normal corrupt issue.

Howdy, I was looking at the threads, and didn't see my problem, so I decided to post it.
I was running a single player game yesterday, when the game unexpectedly crashed and closed. Upon re-opening, everything seemed normal, but when I launch my single player game, It runs at below 1 FPS which is impossible to play.
I am currently running V. 1.81 Beta.
With no Mods, or Patches.
It is a single player game crash.
Please assist. Thank you for your time and patience.
Minecraftrules: Your problem likely has to do with the old intel video card. I'd suggest making a post on the support forum proper, as this place is mostly for actual map recovery.
Arcreaver: Check the first post and follow the instructions there and we'll see what we can do.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: READ THE FIRST POST. IT HAS INSTRUCTIONS. I DONT CHECK THE FORUMS OFTEN, SO IF YOU DON'T READ THE FIRST POST, YOU MIGHT NOT GET HELP.
