I tryed to load minecraft worlds and it loads then it says saving chuncks and then it goes to blank screen plzz help

The world is loading... and I can get in and play/build anything you can normally do. Its just that error is coming up and it drives me nuts because there is no other errors. I will post it when I get back home from work and I hope you can help me out.

i'm not sure if this is the right place or if it involves world recovery or just rediscovering my old home and such.
i'm pretty new to MC and i decided to go out exploring in SSP, and i took my bed along with me, but after several days (in game) i died with my bed in the inventory. i didn't spawn any where familiar.
and i had none of the stuff i took with me on my trip.
is all my stuff gone?
the old world, all the things i built, everything?
can i/do i need to do a world recovery or just try to find my old home out there? does MC wipe the world when you die like that?

Sorry to harass, but I sent you a server a little over a week ago entitled using the website (pretty sure it was on Sept. 1st), and don't believe I got anything back. It would have been using my gmail address, which has my name, Peter, in it. Did you ever get it?

I have a suggestion for everyone losing worlds to crashes, buy a mac and get minecraft on it, then you never need to come here again for crashes :smile.gif: (trolol)

Actually, I have just as many mac people with the same problems. The most common cause for corrupted worlds are power outages, laptop batteries dying, laptops overheating (a big mac problem apparently :tongue.gif:), or java freezing up.

The only reason more PC people come here is simply because there are more PC users out there. Macs are no different in the aspect of games getting corrupted.

Branquinho: The 'world' folder SHOULD be wherever the minecraft_server.jar is. Other than that, I'm not sure.

That's... curious. I'm honestly a little baffled at this point, as server stuff isn't my area of expertise.

Do my a favor and try this: at the top on your address bar, type in /world after server so it looks like this:

c:/users/(yourusername)/appdata/roaming/.minecraft/server/world

And tell me if that has your server files show up
