I think it's a common bug. It even says on the Minecraft Wiki. I know they will fix it some day.

I found a folder in my saves, with the correct name. Media fire does not let me post the whole folder, is there a certain piece your looking for? The data folder inside my saved world folder is empty. Thank-you so much for helping, very cool of you. Rolling blackouts down here, lost my save :sad.gif:.

Chiefpacman: You can zip the file but... The world folder has nothing inside it? No .dat or /region folder or .mcr? If not.. theres unfortunately not much I can do without those

Hey Voordal! I sent you a save file via your website, it crashed on me again but i think i got the problem fixed now, but i havent got an email back with my fixed file yet, its been a few days =( just making sure i wasnt forgotten! world name is R'lyeh. Thanks!

Wormtape: Im not sure I got it. Its not the one I fixed on the previous page, is it? I've noticed that my server has been a bit flaky, so if you could send it again I'd appreciate it.

Also just a reminder for everyone, I rely much more on the website (even if it is flaky) since the forums are MUCH more difficult to keep track of. Please try to use the website if you can, and avoid posting on both so I dont end up fixing two maps by accident.

Hello! The world on the last page you fixed for me is indeed the same world. Once I loaded up the fixed savefile it worked perfectly for awhile, thanks again! But I inevitably crashed again and lost it. I came to realize it was my videocard shorting out. Problem fixed! I sent the savefile to you again to fix as I had done much building during the time between crashes. But I can definitely resend the file again on the website. Thanks!

My OCDness got the better of me. I had a chest that contained a bunch of stuff from the old fancypack mod that last worked with version 1.5. I tried to break it like an idiot and of course the game crashed from all the unknown items. I've managed to download the 1.5 version of minecraft and the old fancypack, but I can't get the old v5 ModLoader. And even if I could I don't know if some of the newer items like pistons that I have would cause it to crash again. I have a ton of stuff in this world that would take me months to rebuild. Is there anything you can do?

Xykon: Can probably fix it. Your best bet is to use the recovery website mcsaver.net

Tigerfan: Go ahead and post it, and stick with 1.7.3. I'll handle the items that are making your game crash (though unfortunately, you'll lose the stuff that was in that chest)

TurtleBawse: If you have the owner/hoster of the server send me the files, I can fix it and send it back, and they can just shut down the old, and bring up the new.

Thanks for responding. I managed to fix it a little while ago by rolling back minecraft and finding the old modloader file. I'll be sure to come here if I screw something else up.

Problem: I was playing this world when my computer crashed. When i tried to play it, it was gone from the world select screen. it was still in the saves though. If I dont have this world back im gonna...lose it..dont care how long it takes..but i've worked on this for so long.. :sad.gif: It is and adventure wolrd that currently has 13 puzzles and im planning on releasing when its done. to the public. if you can get this back... :laugh.gif:

I was playing the other day, used world edit to add some torches, I believe it is a bug of world edit, and the server became extremely laggy. If I open mcedit, It is also very very laggy, and has a lot of redblocks underneath my house. I believe it is file corruption,or maybe a chunk saving problem, please help.
