I was mining and crafting when the power went out during a bad storm. Now my world is gone, and it's not in the "saves" folder on my computer. Am I out of luck?

SWEET BABY ROLLERBLADING [email protected]#$ I lost my world, i was wandering back to the bottom of a mining operation when all of a sudden the minecraft screen went green tinged and flashy! comp crashed and when i rebooted my world had vanished. please do what you can!

i run a bukkit server and just recently i haven't been able too log on (it says logging in then after a while read timed out)
i have narrowed it down to a corrupt world file
there's huge random buildings everywhere
the spawn is in-front of a giant tower
everything is very far apart follow the minecart rails

Rcircuit: Fixed! http://www.mediafire.com/?s9k7f0lzms6h4c5 It looks like someone placed a tower of TNT in there and set it off, causing the world to crash. I deleted the chunk, so you'll see an odd tower where the crater was. It looks like it didnt do a LOT of damage, but some minor cart rail repair is in need.

I have a biome problem,my desert biome is full of snow now and i know it isnt a beach.Can i fix this or is there a plugin for that?

Brakalex: This is caused when the world seed changes. This can be fixed if you have an old backup of the world, the name the seed was created with, or the seed # in server.properties if its a server

didnt you say one day? cause its been 2 prety sure, have you got extra things to do lately? Did i not send it right?

Erm, I dont see an additional post on here from you. What was the worlds name?

by the way does your fix ever clean up any small lags that it might have? I like how its all shiny and new!

Can you fix mine? It seems to be in order, but it just doesn't pop up when loading a file in minecraft.

It was a combo of bad chunks and a corrupt level.dat. if you have a backup of it somewhere, or know the seed number/name, we can fix the big pit in front of your castle. otherwise that will have to be filled in manually, as the seed# has changed. http://www.mediafire.com/?r3k993w8vsqcxck

Hi voordal! On my Mediafire downloads it says someone downloaded my world called 'Server World' It's a mini town surrounded by hills. The island is excedingly big so I hope you can fix it as i need to get a map of the whole thing! It crashes when i walk near something >_>. I also have a aether.dat. Would that affect it?
