Voordal do you know why my minecraft keeps crashing but only when im playing with far it gets laggy them freezes on me and sometimes im in tiny but it still gets laggy and if i place blocks down it puts two down and it gets really anooying do you know if you can do anything about it?

I made a world in January 2011, and that was my favorite world. That world isn't the one I just sent you, by the way. But I was playing on that world for about 5 weeks, and didn't know anything about the minecraft files at all, or backing up maps. I didn't have any other worlds, either. That was my first one, and the only one I ever played on. Then one day, my computer suddenly just crashed. I turned it back on, and then when I opened minecraft, the world was gone. You've probably heard of this situation before. Then I made a new world in the same spot as 'World2' which was the world that I just lost, because I heard you could recover your map that way. I didn't see anything that I had built, but after a while, I saw a huge wall. I know that has something to do with my old world.
So my question is: Do you think you can recover my original world through that world? I don't care if there are gonna be chunk errors in that world, or if I won't have the items in the chests. I've just been trying to get someone to help me with this for a very long time, but I never really got a response. So I really hope you can help me.
Like I said, this isn't the world I sent you at all. If you think you can help me, I'll send you 'World2' that I still have in my saves folder. At least I backed up that world. I really hope you can help me though.. That world just reminds me of when I was scared of mobs, and didn't know anything about minecraft. It isn't really even about the buildings, it's mostly just about that world. It would be really nice to see what I had done in that world right when I started minecraft. Thanks so much if you can help.
And of course, thanks if you can help with the one I just sent you. That was just a pain to lose, and I don't feel like making another world like that. I would appreciate that a lot as well. I created that world today, but I was actually pretty proud of it. I tried to finally play minecraft without any mods at all, and it was fun again.

I just realized that this save file is really huge. It has tons of folders like
"1a"
"1b"
"1c"
and tons of other ones. I don't know if it's possible to recover. And like I said, this is a completely different world now, except for that huge wall. I don't know if you'll be able to do anything to it.
Anyhow, the file is uploading right now. I don't know if you got what I sent you at your website thing, but I'll give you the download link to both of my saves.
The very important world that I've been trying to recover for a month that I really hope you can recover: World2.zip

So the newer one is fixed. It looks like you had a little cave thing going there?
The older one is also fixed! I have two versions of it. one is the 'unpruned' version which is a very large world, including your little town deal with the welcome sign in the ground. The other is the 'pruned' version which is the same thing, but I deleted the rest of the world outside of the town and mines, so the world will regenerate normally around that area with 1.7 specifications, and also hopefully have cleaner terrain design.
I'll reply to the MCSaver ticket as well, just for record keeping purposes.

Artonkn: I Checked the world out and it worked pretty normally for me. Do you have any mods installed? If so, try playing without them and see if the problem persists.

Hello, my Minecraft world has been deleted from the launcher so i can't play on it in game, but, the world is still in my saves file. Hi, my world was once corrupt, but thanks to your tips i managed to recover it. Now it has changed seed, so my main area has changed biome into Taiga. This is annoying, as when i use mcedit to remove the ice it pops up again when i log in. I'm just wondering, is it enough to upload only level.dat? if so then it's here:
my first world. the system crashed when i had my main storage chest open. in MCEdit it shows that the block is missing and it had all of my importnant loot in it. it is in a small cabin with a giant tower on top of it, so it should be easy to find. also it is my only house in this save. thank you in advance.
ocomobock: I looked around, and what I found was 3 other areas of land, about 200,000 blocks out, but it just looks like untouched land. There weren't any buildings or anything there, so unfortunately it looks like the new stuff that was created may have overwritten your old areas.
