Ok, So When I try to log into one of my maps, it takes an unusual amount of time to load the level, then it takes FOREVER to "Simulate world", it takes so long that I just eventually give up. Hope you can fix it

Fish: Post the zip of the server files and Ill take a look. Im not sure what that problem is exactly just by looking at that error.

Segogrates: When you originally sent the files, I asked if you had a level.dat. You didn't so I figured I could fix it anyway, but I hadn't actually checked the files. I don't bother fixing anything until I know I have everything provided. After looking at the files themselves though was when I realized I didn't really have much to work with. So, I really can't do much with the blank files. Unless you have anything that hasn't been sent yet, I can't do much, sorry =/

I understand you wont try until you have everything but do you think its possible to fix it with what u have because i dont know what happened to the rest maybe you can do something to fix it or atleast make it playable? It might be a challenge but i dont know your the genius here :sad.gif:

*sigh* Sego, you're not reading what I'm writing.

When I said "I can fix this" that was before I had even looked at the files, because I assumed the problem was the level.dat missing.

The -problem- is that the first map that was sent is a blank file. There is no data in the map files. The second set is just a newly generated world. There's nothing to really recover that I have, yet. Thats why I'm saying... Unless you have something you havent sent, I have nothing to work with.

Alright well can you help me out by teaching me how to back up my new world so that this wont happen again and maybe even tell me some glitches to avoid, because as of now i know if a power outage or your computer crashes while you play minecraft you lose the word :'(

Voordal will you help teach me how to back up my maps so i wont lose them again? Im running Windows 7

Easiest way is to just copy your world folder and paste the copy somewhere else. A saves folder on your desktop would work fine. Just do that like once a week to update it.

Should i keep deleting the copy folder i have on my desktop when i update it? because i dont wanna replace the files and make a mistake is there an easier way?

Hey, my map is now fixed. Turns out someone spawned 10,000 mushrooms as pick up-able items.

Ok man, you really helped me out with my last problem, now I want to know if you can help me out with these serious lagspikes going on, I guess it may have something to do with the Aether mod, but I still want to know if you can do something

Zontafer: Did you receive the last fix I did, in regard to the mushrooms? It was a couple pages back >.> How did you determine there were bad chunks?

It would always occur everytime I entered the Aether, after awhile, everything would start to lag and move very slowly, and when I eventually leave the Aether, it would still occur in the Surface
