Lets see if this works i hope it does ik its a copy but i think it might be a copy of the original before the original got deleted i honestly dont know i can send you on eother thing but its gonna be a copy of this? when ur looking at the othr files i sent you are u able to open it? and if u are what are you seeing?

Thats still not any files. Its just a shortcut zipped up. There are no files in that zip file. I tihnk you're trying to zip a shortcut of a folder and not the folder itself.

I cannot find anything else that isnt a shortcut canyou explain to me what u found and whats wrong with the first file i sent to you.

In case you didnt know if it helps at all, the way this happened was i was playing minecrafft and my laptop battery died and when i charged my laptop and got back to the game i saw that that one file was deleted. nd i had deleted another map and im looking for it in the recycle bin and i cant find it and im sure i didnt delete it and it was never in the saves folder so idk where else it might save. any advice or choces on what else i can do?

And not that i dont appreciate what ur doing, i really do honestly, but what gain do u get from helping others like this? i mean other that being a nice person and helpig people :tongue.gif: and once again all this i shighly appreciated Thank you

This is the link to one of the new worlds i was making and i think it might have saved over my original map idk if u can find it and what happened when u fixed the level.dat file that was missing on my first link i sent was that able to get fixed?

dji-unit: I didnt see anything particularly wrong. Can you go into more detail as to what the problem is?

Segrogrates: That new map looks like jsut a newly generated world. There isnt really anything in there, unfortunately.

I'll have to take another look. Are they buildings or.. what? I dont know what your other world is so I dont know exactly what Im looking for.

Ah okay. That may be a changed seed issue. I'll see what I can find out.

Do you by chance have a backup of this world thats older? Just so I can recover the seed if it has changed.

Zontafer: Fixed! Sorry about the wait. it looks like someone has spawned an orb of about 14,000 mushrooms, which was causing the lag. I removed them and you should be good to go now.

Djiunit: Heres what I can do. I changed the seed back to the original, I tested it by deleting a few of the funky chunks with MCEdit, and they regenerated normally.

We can do one of two things:

1) Take the map as it is, and whenever you find a bad chunk, use MCEdit to delete it and it will regenerate normally.

2) Let me spend some time finding and fixing them, but I dont know how long this will take, or even if I'll get all of them.

I actually just had you fix a this same world recently (worked perfectly, by the way), but now I have another problem. I tried to backup the game files while playing (a dumb idea in hindsight), and now the file only has the region files, and nothing else. Now I could just restore my backups, but this would mean a ton of mining going to waste, so can you fix this again?

Segogrates: The first set of files you gave me was the map, but they were blank files. There wasn't any real infomation in them. Effectively 4 regions with 0 chunks. The second set of files you sent me was shortcut links, not actual files. The third set was of a newly generated world with nothing in it. Unfortunately so far I haven't gotten any usable data to recover. =/

The frist set of files i sent you was the map that i lost i dont know why your not being able to fix it you said it was missing the level.dat and youll fix it did you fix that and it still didnt work or what?

Hey guys i was building a piston elevator in my multiplayer server and while trying to fix somethin with it the game kicked me out. What should I do? and now whenever I try to log in I get this message on the server:
