The issue: when I load it up, it freezes/lags/goes all choppy. Sometimes I can still hear the sounds but the frames only change every 10 seconds or so.

Looks like there was a bad chunk causing the lag. It wasn't anywhere that stuff of yours was, so you might not even notice it as the land will regenerate normally.

Hey voordal,

I was playing minecraft with my laptop and the battery died, and just like other people i have the "world name" folder in the saves folder but it wont appear in the minecraft game itself any help? and im a noob at this stuff so a littl eextra attention might be needed.

Sure, just zip up the world save folder and post it on something like mediafire

Is the level.dat file missing from the folder on your computer as well?

Iside my new world original folder i see data region and session.lock so no i dont see a level.dat and im not sure if i sent u the right thing so can u tell me what u see? so i can tell u if its the right thing?

Yeah its the right thing, but the level.dat is missing, which pretty much explains why its not showing up. Ill take care of it.

can you tell me what u see tho because i tried to fix it myself and made a couple of "new world"s since its the default name but i wanna know what u see is it a huge cobble stone house? with a glass wall?

Yeah I was looking at it and it looks like the map files were missing in part.... That.. would explain it. Creating the new 'new world' files quite possibly deleted what you had. =/ Im trying to see if theres anything I can do at this point. Do you have any older backups?

Er.. that file you sent is just a shortcut. Its not any actual files. Or anything.
