Cheesius: A very interesting situation you've come up with, here. I think this can be fixed though. It might take me a few days to work out the kinks of it, but I'm willing to give it a whack.
To be clear, you want the one with the snow fixed so that its matches the rest of the biome?
Essentially, yes, although I'm not after having you fix it so it LOOKS right, I could easily remove the snow in mcedit if that was my only concern. All I'm after is getting the world seed fixed so that when we explore new areas, it doesn't generate chunks that don't match. I am perfectly happy to leave the snow where it is - my impression is that it will melt when the rain falls, or if it doesn't, that's ok too, I just want to make sure we don't constantly wind up with chunks that don't match the rest of our terrain when we explore. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
This is the test I did where I used mcedit to delete a chunk near my house and let minecraft regenerate it. You can see, it doesn't match the surrounding terrain at all, instead of a grassy area 20 or so meters above sea level, it's an ice covered body of water. This is what it SHOULD have done:
This was done by using mcedit to manually copy the CORRECT chunk from a fresh world made using the 500580254 seed into the map, I only did it to show you an example of what I want to have happen when I wind up deleting a chunk for whatever reason. I just want the world to generate chunks based on the original seed, as opposed to the new, corrupted seed, that's why I am hoping you have some way of just replacing the seed data in the world file with the original seed data.
Sorry about the double post, but I decided to try something. I copied the level.dat file from my freshly generated world (with the correct seed) into my damaged server world (replacing the presumably damaged level.dat), and it seems like it MIGHT have fixed the problem. I am going to do some more tests, but it looks like that might have fixed my problem.
---EDIT-----------------------------------------------
Confirmed, I deleted the bad chunks in mcedit, wandered there in-game, and it generated correct chunks to replace them. I kept wandering until I found some snowy areas, and then used Single Player Commands to turn on the weather, and it rained where it was grassy, and it snowed where it was snowy, as you can see in the following picture.
Sorry to have bothered you with something that I wound up being able to fix myself! But thanks for your quick response.
That is sort of a fix! If all you wanted to change was the seed. You can also use NBTEdit to change the seed number. I was planning on changing the seed, deleting all land that isnt built on, and letting it regenerate to roughly what you had. But if you're okay with where it is now, great!

Lambda: As I stated originally, it'll take some time to get industrial craft installed and working properly to remove those. I haven't had a ton of time lately to get all that working with the old version, though it looks like a new one is available, with the addition of other mod loaders. I'll see what I can do.
Xtcent: I'll see what I can do about the terrain issues.

Xtcent: I've got the world fixed, but the terrain issues are a different story. I did some backtracking, based off the original file you sent me a few weeks back. Apparently your server world has changed seeds several times now, and the one you sent me originally was was its 3rd or 4th change. I can see in the map editor pretty clearly when the seed changes, and it took about 2-3 layers of changes before I found one that matched the earliest you sent.
So, pretty much you have three choices.
1) Use the seed you had when you sent the original file. New terrain will match the outermost terrain currently in map. This is currently what is the case, and the map is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?6d5wle9x44dwddx
2) Find an earlier save, and if that has a different seed, I can see if that was the original one, or an earlier one, and prune the map down to match that
3) IF the map was created after 1.3, and IF a specific name was used to create the seed, I can get the seed from that name, prune down the map, and have it match the very original stuff.

We use a Zmod server, and the power recently went out while running it. I am getting the unexpected exception error, and it says something about nullpointerexception or something, should I upload the files?

That's the link. The last backup is only 2 days old, but 3 people have joined int he past 2 days and all of the structures built in that time took quite an effort, so a lot of pressure is on me to get it back online. Right now we are doing a survival island map, which has turned out to be a blast. In fact, we plan on doing "Survival Thursdays" every week now, so in a way the crash has been a benefit.
Thanks in advanced for any help you can provide, even if it is just confirmation that I have to rollback to the backup.
UPDATE: I am currently having problems running any server, I am using ZMod and repeatedly get unexpected, severe, errors. They are beginning to happen seconds after opening the server.

Silent Lambda: I've tried installing the newest version of both of these and still can't seem to get those chests to open. Not sure what to tell you, I can certainly try an older version as well, but sometimes those mods arent even available anymore.

Oh well. You said you can break them? If so, no big deal. Thanks for the extra effort.
Garret: Yeah, the website goes down from time to time. The cost of having a free web host. >.> I should probably splurge a few bucks and get something reliable.
Anyway, it's not super common for chunks to go bad from what happened, but if it does go corrupt, you'll always lose your items as its the level.dat that goes corrupt, which also handles inventory. However, the items can be replaced with INVedit if you want, if you remember what you have.

Hey voordal, I don't want to take up your time, so I would like to do the fix myself. I have a save file that Minecraft couldn't detect after a crash. I fixed that problem, deleted a chunk that regenerated (but didn't create a new one), reset my spawn and my player position.
My problem now is that I get 3-4 FPS on the save. How could I fix this issue? Your OP states you can likely fix this, but I would like to learn how myself.
*EDIT
More than a few chunks regenerated actually. Much of the terrain is similar, but many changes have occurred and I can't recall what is new and what is not. I've deleted chunks that were very out of place, But I'm still unable to regenerate them.
