Did your world disappear from minecraft? Is it corrupt? Lags? Can't move? "Saving Chunks" Crash? Crashes when you open chests? It can be saved!

I can see you're working hard, voordal, but I humbly ask you to restore another save corrupted by the 1.6 "saving chunks" error. I was working on a scale reproduction of Silent Hill 2, and I can't stand to let it go. (My first time uploading to Mediafire, tell me if I screwed anything up.) http://www.mediafire.com/?f98lb4p8fx5f6en

If you find any mod items they will be related to the Planes mod. I haven't installed any other mods except for the supporting Planes mods and the Planes mod itself.
Sorry for bothering again, but my friend thought I could fix his world. I said yes, and... Yeah. Could you... fix this? Thanks for the work, my computer seems like it's dying with each passing day...
Oddly, I couldnt find any 'base' structures. The caves were heavily explored, but I couldn't find out where your friend would go to deposit supplies. Is this on purpose?

Lambda: I can either get the map back tonight and destroy that chest with the industrialcraft + other stuff, or I can try and install industrialcraft and see if I can remove it, but it will take a little more time

Ammm, i don't have idea what happen with "Sumeria", one of the two maps, but it's OK, that doesn't matter now.
I've another problem now. And i need your skills again XD
I was mining glowstone in the Nether and the screen suddenly turned black with deformed blue letters,
and now, mi memory isn't in the initial screen again >__<
I had some useful items, but it's OK that doesn't matter, if you can save me that save..
( i was working on it all the day along >__< )

Thanks. I always find this weird, but he likes to be a "nomad." Maybe this is why he dies so much.
And is he gonna be mad to find his items gone... Do you know how much stuff he had?

BOTTLES: First you must stand like this...
KAZOOIE: What, wearing ridiculous glasses and a silly grin?
Marioman: There's no way to tell what he had, however if he -really- wants that stuff restored, he can use INVedit to get it back. Or tell me what there was and I can put it back in there and make a new upload. I did include the normal 'care pack' if it helps.

If you don't mind installing the mod, please do, but you can break it if necessary. I can't remember the other contents of the chest.
Great Max: You're welcome to post your map and I'll see if there's a problem with it.
Roger: Fixed, I'll post it in the morning after its uploaded.

The short version of what's wrong is, the data that holds the seed for the world seems to have become corrupt. The current version of the world shows a seed of -4288037766195162015, while an earlier backup shows the seed to be 500580254. I'm hoping you know how to change the data so that the world once again uses 500580254 as a seed.
Here's the long version:
One day one of our server's players noticed that it had started snowing in his area, where it had rained many times, but never snowed. Then I noticed the water near my place slowly starting to freeze, and then it snowed there too. Then our spawn point, which is in a desert region, began to get snow. I didn't think about it, because frankly, I LIKE the snow, and it didn't occur to me that it might be a sign that some serious damage had occured.
Then I was exploring, and when new chunks generated, they did not match the landscape at all, sheer cliffs rising out of the land, obviously a different biome on top of it, with spots of ore and waterfalls just randomly falling from it - perfectly straight and level. As a further test, I used mcedit to delete a chunk near my area (in a backup of the map) and let minecraft generate a new chunk, and the new chunk didn't match in any way with the other landscape around.
At that point I realized that somehow the seed data had become corrupted.I googled to see if I could figure out how to tell if that was the case, and how to fix it. I managed to find a tool (link) to tell me what the seed for our world was, and then compared that to a backup made when the world was fairly new, and the seeds didn't match at all.
As a further test, I went ahead and created a new world using the 500580254 seed, and it created the exact world that our server had to begin with, aside from the position of the spawn point, of course.
Unfortunately Google did not tell me how to FIX the damaged seed data. So maybe you can help.
As an aside, here are a couple of cropped maps (made with Cartograph_G that show some of the newly snowy terrain.
As you can see, we've made a lot of changes, and I'd rather not have to revert back to an older file with the undamaged seed, as I'd either have to manually copy every structure and mining operation over (again, I already did that once when tall grass was introduced), or we'd lose a lot of our development.
Cheesius: A very interesting situation you've come up with, here. I think this can be fixed though. It might take me a few days to work out the kinks of it, but I'm willing to give it a whack.
To be clear, you want the one with the snow fixed so that its matches the rest of the biome?
What I'll likely have to do is trim the map where there's snow. The problem is, the areas that arent snow, I'll likely have to eyeball. OR, just prune everything that isnt a building and let it regenerate on its own when people go out near there

I have industrialcraft and mo' creatures. In retrospect, it's probably the latter, but I'm not positive.
