DrCheese: I tihnk Ive got it fixed but uhh... just out of curiosity... On a map editor, what would show up as a massive ... almost star/explosion shaped thing near your city? Its like, two mile radius O_o

Errr.. You might want to check what you originally sent me, then. Both maps are identical, down to the corrupted chunks, the cave house with torches outside, everything. Thats why I was curious.

EDIT: I'm curious though, do you know what causes these sorts of errors? Given that all I did was make a nether portal, I don't wanna accidentally make the same mistake again >_<

I don't need anything fixed, but I appreciate what you are doing. I never thought I'd see someone go out of their way in multiple, repetitive instances like this and give each and every single person individual attention to fix their problems, even with no personal gain for yourself.

Man. What a crazy weekend. 1.6 introduced a lot of problems, paired with the Memorial weekend had a lot of people playing. 68 maps in 3 days. >.<

I'm quickly approaching the 500 map mark faster than I anticipated. It's sort of a big deal for me. =D

Some bad chunks, but no buildings were affected. They were what were causing the issues, and were fixed.

Things I can LIKELY fix:
- World save disappeared from minecraft, but the save file still exists in your computer

I was wondering if you could help fix a problem like this but with a server?

My brother is wanting me to let you know that its for multi-player and that the server is reverting back to an old state even tho the save file isn't that, this happened after the recent update. Oh and is there is any way he could fix it himself? Sorry for all the questions and such ><

Let me take a look at it first to see if there's anything obvious. If it's reverting to an older version, I'm not sure. But it wont hurt to take a peek.

At a glance I dont see anything particularly wrong with it. Maybe he can give some more info as to what he means by 'reverting to an older version'. Is this done during shutdowns? Maybe a backup program? Maybe files are being shared somehow and the older versions are overwriting the new ones?

I really am curious as to.. what happened. It looks like there was a massive, almost start shaped thing on the map of entities. It was too organized to be a tnt explosion but it was really really weird. Any ideas?

It's loading what our server looked like days ago, it was fine last night, I was building stuff and everything saved fine but after the update it reverted back to an older look. He said the files aren't being shared.
