JayJay: This is about as good as it's going to get. I created a new map so the map matches the terrain seed, and superimposed your building into that, so smooth terrain will generate as you explore. I did not include the cave system below, since the area needed to include that would not match the above ground land, which seemed to be your issue. If this still doesn't work for you, there's not much else I can do until I can find a way to determine seed # prior to corruption.

My buds and I were shooting the shizer and playing a lan game lastnight. Do not know what happened, but all of us got kicked off and this is what my server client reads.

Searched around the interwebs and came up with no working solution. We have no idea what the error means, but we have a hunch it means "F**k you guys, I'm not wanting to work anymore." as that is just what it's doing lol. Hey, can you try to fix this? With the 1.6 update(s) I can't even play on it. I open it, and it shows the screen as if I were suffocating in a block for a quick second, and then it crashes. When I replaced the 1.6 JAR file with the 1.5 jar, I could play, but I couldn't look to the left. Someone told me that it might have to do with creating chunks that had the tall grass on them, but I don't know. I would appreciate it if you could at least try to fix it, as I have spent a lot of time on it, the size being about 20mB.

EDIT: Actually, it still has the same problem. :sad.gif:

However, I was able to move around for 30 seconds before it happened again.

My power went out for like 5 seconds. When I turned my pc back on, I had no saved games. I checked the save game folder and there was World1 folder that was empty.

...

I don't even want to play anymore at this point. Why is this even possible, there should be an automatic backup or failsafe.

Inky: Good news and Bad news. The good news is, I think I've got it fixed more permanently.
The bad news is that to fix it, all entities need to be removed. This includes mobs, animals, and unfortunately wolves. They'll spawn again normally, but if you had any saved, they had to be removed. Uploading now.

Katana: The World1 folder is COMPLETELY empty? Not a thing? Where is your minecraft folder, just to be sure.

David: I'll check it out

I just recently tamed my first wolf in that map. Oh well. I'll test it and give you feedback.

EDIT: Thanks, it works fine. Only problem is that for some chests, when i right click it says loading chunks and freezes. But I'm pretty sure that's a 1.6 problem. Anyway, thanks a million.

I'm not concerned about inventories or entities within the world. What I am concerned about are the blocks.

Chunk file at 5,4 is in the wrong location; relocating. (Expected 5, 4, got 18, 3)
Chunk file at 5,5 is in the wrong location; relocating. (Expected 5, 5, got 18, 3)
Chunk file at 5,6 is in the wrong location; relocating. (Expected 5, 6, got 18, 3)
Chunk file at 5,7 is in the wrong location; relocating. (Expected 5, 7, got 18, 3)

This is just some of the (intelligible) error output that the server's throwing. I understand that there are some chunks that are buggy and need to be restored or whatnot. I'd appreciate it if there was minimal damage done to what is manmade (which should be obvious). The world is playable, but interaction with these buggy chunks will cause a massive amount of errors to be thrown (error handling is probably throwing a logic loop). Of note, the server will attempt to save the chunks twice. Perhaps there is a file it is looking up due to an interrupted session where it is getting really confused?

I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at it. (Bonus points if you can tell me what's going on or give some kind of brief overview of how the code is working here so that I can fix this in the future!)

Ah, someone cool like you could help! My world stopped working suddenly... Outta no where! Anyways. I have two versions you might want to look at. It was in the save folder still, so I have the save folder(s). It doesn't show up in Minecraft though.

Here's two, one has more files in the save folder than the other, just my own experimentation.

My world stopped working whenever my computer overheated. It's done that before and survived through many overheatings of my computer, worked fine, it's just NOW...

The server threw a bunch of errors again, but the area that was most obvious (to me - I don't have mcedit or tools like that) was fixed. Poor trees, they got chopped in half.

Hey can you fix the bug that immediately makes a world go "saving chunks" when you get in to it?
