If it happens very often, it would be easier to back up your save file into another folder on a somewhat regular basis, daily, if you need to.

He fixes saves that are still available on the computer, but won't appear on your world list.

Normally I don't have to change the level.dat, so the seed problem shouldn't be an issue. On rare occasion I do have to replace is, but at that point the save is so busted that people are usually happy to have their world back.

I don't see such a situation causing chunk errors, but it may create odd land generation later on when they start exploring.

And yeah... For some reason my website (mcsaver.net) is having SQL problems and I'm waiting to hear from the host about it. In the meantime, I have a backup site (mcsaver.site50.net) on it. =D

They need converting but there's two problems to them both.

World2
Won't show up to be converted. So the save file is there but you can't see it on the menu.
Can't quite remember what was on it so I'd like to see :smile.gif:

Shows up and can be converted, however when this is completed the world is... Well...Half converted.
Some of my wall is still there, there's half a tower of mine, my tree house remains but the main complex has been turned into undeveloped land but is nothing like it was before I built on it =/

Azurity: Check in your /.minecraft/saves folder, if its still in there, post it up and I'll see what I can do

KDStudios: I'll check it out shortly. Sometimes those conversion ones are tricky.

Also, in general: Keep in mind that some of the problems differ. Without getting into specifics, Danne's problem (it doesnt show up in saves) is the same as someone elses. But that's more the symptom than the problem. Some of them take a lot more work than others, some I can crack out in literally 6 minutes flat, and some I'll end up poring over for several days.

If I post other people's fixes before yours, it's simply because it was an easier problem that I can knock out quickly. Until I say "I cant fix this", assume I'm still working on it. Thanks for your patience =D

KDStudios:I'll likely check these out at home, since the older maps are a bit obnoxious, and I have two huge screens at home to work with, rather than one dinky one at work (HEY, IM BEING PRODUCTIVE OK?). I'll let you know what I find.

EDIT: I lied. I peeked. Apparently its not the conversion that is the issue. Apparently there are parts of both maps that are just... missing? When did you last play these? 1.2? I think 1.3 implemented the new system. Can you still play on that version without updating?

In the one that wont convert, I found a small house with cave system, a stone castley thing nearby.. The only problem is theres a big 'stripe' through the world, and I saw some kind of wooden overhang on the outside of it. Im wondering if thats where stuff was.

As for the other one, Im asking if you have any other files because it looks like those portions are just 'missing'

hey its me again... my world is fine but im stuck and can't move or kill myself! i tried lava and drowning myself but it doesn't work! could you edit this? and the spot next to the railroad with cobblestone and water is where i am at and tried to kill myself! please help me :sad.gif: (PS. i use INVedit for my items just so u know :wink.gif: )

KDS: I recovered what I could from those files, however it looks like there is literally some pieces of the old map missing, not corrupted. If you can find an older save, or something, I might be able to work with it. I've included both maps, converted for 1.5 compatibility in the zip
