So I got a new 64-Bit Windows 8.1 PC with 8GB of RAM, and I'm trying to give Minecraft more RAM (because it was laggy). I have checked everything from correct Java versions to modded versions of Minecraft. Trying to use '-Xmx2G' in the Profile Options screen under JVM Arguements still doesn't work afterwards, and shows this.
I've tried pretty much everything I could, what do I do now?
Extra note: What I meant by "laggy" as in the game was having massive FPS lag spikes.
If you are using - Xmx2G then here is the problem: There is a space between the - and Xmx2G. Use -Xmx2G
Sorry nvm. That's not the problem. My only suggestion is to make sure there are no spaces and be sure you are not putting quotes.

...Is anyone even here?

Hope that works (:
