Hi, not sure if this is the correct section or not sorry(first topic).
Lately on every single minecraft server i have lag to the point of mining blocks 4 - 5 times before they finally get mined. This lag is on minecraft only, on everything else i get speeds in excess of 1mbps.
My pc specs are not an issue, i'm running 3.9ghz core iz cpu, 8gb ddr3 ram, msi r9 270 graphics card, and a 300mbps wifi pci card.
This lag is only on minecraft server, i am thinking it may be a port problem? any help would be appreciated thanks.

I don't know, I'm just guessing.
Well what you just suggested is the same to my theory of the port being blocked...
The server OR your router
By using an Ethernet cord, directly plug your computer into your router, which can help reduce latency or how long it takes to break a block.
To fix the lag on a server, try to connect to servers that are generally closer to where you are located.
