Back when my laptop still had 2gb befor i upgraded it to 4, it ran fine with minecraft with 2 gb,
Here is my Desktop which also has 2gb, but it cant run minecraft like my laptop did
I also tried adding more ram to minecraft (1.5 gb) and it still failed.
I even tried running a really old alpha version of minecraft and again said that the pixel format was not accelerated and that was a really old version of minecraft that didnt even take as much ram as now,
so heres what i think:
Possibly a problem with my video cards
Or this computer just sucks xD
Anyway, if you have a idea on how to fix this tell me,
And no saying updating drivers/reinstalling drivers, i already did this, infact it was the first thing i did I tried lots of things to fix it
some of which i dont remember, But if you say update drivers even know i said i did then you dont have a clue either so dont bother posting.
And remember this is a problem with my desktop, Not my laptop.
This means you don't have the right drivers. period. the end. no matter what you think you've done to your drivers.
It is possible that there might not be any drivers that work with your card. depends on the card.
Don't add more ram. If it runs with the defaults, and not with modifications, it's most likely that you have 32bit Java, for which the defaults are almost pushing the limits of what is possible to configure.
Tell me what to do
I have a ati card the exact model of it is ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series
It said it should work with minecraft
Again i already tried updating/reinstalling

32bit: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=Legacy1&os=Windows%20Vista%20-%2032
64bit: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=Legacy1&os=Windows%20Vista%20-%2064
(Download and install the Catalyst link)
If you have 'upgraded' to windows 8 you might be out of luck though.
and its 64bit so ill try the 64bit one
theres
Catalyst Software Suite
and
WDM Integrated Driver
Like i said in the starter post, I don't think its the driver.
