Well looks like minecraft multi-player is down again. I've been having this problem for about 2 weeks now and i'm frustrated. I set up a server but it is not working cause multiplayer is down!! Thx for looking over this post. Feedback is always welcome. Have a nice day!!!!(or night)!!
What exactly do you mean by 'multiplayer is down'? Is it a specific server you cannot connect to? What error are you getting when you try to direct connect to this server?
