hi - i've purchased 2 separate minecraft accounts. i have one PC (win 7). i am looking to have both accounts on the same pc, but for the worlds to be separate.
i know that mojang's official site says:
"If you would like the world and player files separate, or would like to be known by a different username while on multiplayer servers, you may want to consider purchasing a second Minecraft account"
i did purchase the second account, and created a second login name (with a different email address). when i open the installer, it offers me the option of user 1 or user 2. however, no matter who logs in can access all the worlds and can make mods to a world.
i checked files under the /roaming directory and didn't see an immediate way to separate the worlds (ie. under /user1/saved and /user2/saved).
can anyone point me in the right direction and tell me what i am missing? thanks for any help you can provide.
thank you jasotufy2. i hoped that there would be some options i could change which i had missed (and mojang customer service never replied to either message i sent), but i appreciate your help - and most importantly, i've got another person playing minecraft now.
Another way to achieve this is to make 2 different profiles on the launcher.
You can set the .minecraft directory to another place on the computer for 1 of them, which means they wont over-lap.
thanks plo - can't believe i missed that the first time, checking the option where the files are in the roaming directory. may switch back to that if i need it, thanks!
