I've upgraded an old laptop (Dell Vostro 1510) to Windows 8 because XP support ended. Now Minecraft won't run. The issue seems to be: "Pixel Format Not Accelerated This error message is commonly caused by outdated video card drivers. To fix this, you generally need to update your video card drivers, please follow the directions for your Operating System below."
I've followed all the instructions to check for an upgraded graphics driver for my model, but Intel has stopped supporting the Mobile 965 Chipset family and they just don't have a driver for Win 8.
Following further instructions from the help screen, I've run the DxDiag command and the results are here
