I try starting up 1.6.4 in my new launcher but when i press play, it stays there and it wont change to the screen where you play the game. While it's frozen I can still change my profile and all that but it just wont start the game. Please Help!!

Leave the launcher running for 1-2 hours.

You may have slow internet and it is still trying to download it.

If you are trying to connect to 1.6.4 server than downgrade your minecraft to 1.6.2
