Hi, I have been playing minecraft for over a year and this problem started a few months ago. I decided now is the time to get some help. My problem is that LAN worlds don't work, but for some reason servers do. When I try to join someone else's world it doesn't come up on the screen, and when someone else try's to join mine it just keeps logging in forever(we waited about 20mins before we gave up). It does the same thing on any network. I would check my firewall but servers work so it would block that too......
I have windows 7, the latest update.
I have the second latest version of java(if you need the specific version say so, even though the problem was going on before i got this version).
Are you both on a wireless or wired network? If yes, then try to direct connect. If not, still try to direct connect but then it probably won't work. Also, make sure you both have the same Java; update shouldn't matter if it's the same.
