Looks like I'm not the only one having problems. Now for some reason, if I load the launcher, it takes me to the login screen. When I login, it says I have not purchased the game so it's giving me the demo... I purchased the game ages ago!!
On the plus side, at least I still have my .minecraft folder. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!
Ok, i apologise about the last post. I was just losing the plot a little. Here is what has been happening
When Java updated to version 1.7.0_55, my Minecraft game would either not load at all (Java Virtual Machine will not start up), or if it does run, it lags out after about 20 minutes (I have a pretty powerful computer). Then, this afternoon, I decided to return to Minecraft, only to find it took me straight to the login screen. I logged in to my premiumm account, and instead of showing the "Play" button, it now says "Play Demo". I have bought this game when it came out in 1.4 (although proof of purchase is lost in my emails), To try fix this, I reinstalled Java and Minecraft (saving my worlds first of course) with no change whatsoever. Have I done something wrong or is this a stuff-up in the name-changing server thing?
I think the problem is your minecraft account isnt migrated to a Mojang one. Simply create a Mojang account, then sign into Minecraft.net and somewhere is an option to Migrate your account. After this you need to sign in to the launcher using your email address instead of your username.

The problem is I had already migrated my Minecraft account to a Mojang one. Something has happened that's basically disconnected my Minecraft one from the Mojang one
