Greetings. I am assisting a player through a few intermediaries concerning an issue someone is having logging into our specific server. This player is one of a select few (including me) that I know of that couldn't log into any servers during a recent (2-3 weeks ago?) Mojang log-in server extended downtime. Ever since that point, the player could log in to any other server they wanted except for ours. We are fully 1.7.9 compliant and yet she couldn't log-in specifically.
Her error message in-game:
Failed to connect to server. Error connecting to login server. Are they down?
Steps taken:
1. Downgrading client.
2. Updated Java and run the Java Uninstall Tool (for previous versions)
We've done basic troubleshooting and short of doing a full %appdata% level wipe, we're curious if anyone else has had this issue. It seems intermittent and fully uninstalling did the trick for me.
Another player having the issue appears to have solved it as I type by updating their java installation. However, I'll still post this in case it comes back or anyone else has the issue.
Any crash reports required to diagnose this issue will be posted by the players affected in reply (if needed :D).
