had to remove my gtx 770 gpu and rely on onbord intel hd graphics 4600. didnt think i would have a problem with minecraft but got the driver not updated error. so i updated to latest drivers and still can't get minecraft to work. graphics should support opengl 4.0 as far as i can tell.
minecraft launcher loads, but once i hit play it crashes.
really frustrating. i cant imagine why it is not working. below is a link to my dxdiag info.
hey i finally got it to work. instead of just updating the driver i decided to uninstall it first. then i installed the new drivers . i downloaded the .zip version, unzipped and then manually installed the new driver. the first time i downloaded the .exe file version and let the intel install utility do the rest.
so not entirely sure if it was uninstalling first or not using the set up utility that made it work.
doesnt matter now since i was able to put back my gtx 770, but at least now i know minecraft will work if i have to use the intel graphics in the future.
