Hey everyone, i've started to get a lag problem which is frustrating me sooo much.
Playing minecraft, i usually always get 90 fps plus, even when recording with fraps. I have the settings maxed out and still used to get very high fps. I tried lowering my rendering distance and such but the lag continued.....
Recently, playing on my SMP server on the 14w17a and i've been dropping all over the place, going down to 30 and lower, sometimes hovering and 50, going up to 80, but usually never higher than 100. And some might say this lag is caused by the snapshot, but i'm experiencing it whilst playing on other servers on 1.7.5 as well.
My brother has the exact same computer as me, Dell XPS 8500, i just have dual processors. On the exact same SMP server, he gets 150 fps +, and never drops below that.
This lag started just randomly one day when i hopped on my computer, and i had attributed it to a recent abundance of Steam games i downloaded, but remembered i got them weeks ago and hadn't had any lag in the recent weeks.
I know people will say "Well your eyes can only process 30 FPS so that's all you need, but its just that fact that something else had to have caused this drop, and it may be affecting my computer in others ways as well. (Not that i don't like getting very high FPS
I tried reinstalling minecraft .Jars, restarting my computer, cleaning up my Hard Drives, and I'm not sure where to go. Someone please help because i try to run my youtube channel on a schedule, and not being able to record and upload would be an issue, and plus just having a problem i can't figure out and solve annoys me to no end. Help would be very appreciated, and no I don't want to install optifine, I'd rather find out the problem than make a temporary solution, thanks!
