hello,
my son(9 years old) has been having a hard time going on his Minecraft for his PC, he really loves this game , i really dont like him being on it all day long but i do give him a few hours a day to play MC. but he has been pretty depressed lately because he cant get the game to run properly. Right now we are running 1.7.5 version and we can get the server to run , we can get the game t run , but right after he chooses a world to play the whole game freezes and when i go to X out of the screen a prompt pops up and says :

Java(TM) Platform SE binary is not responding
If you close the program, you might lose information

-> close the program
-> wait for the program to respond

Ive done a few things to get it to go again but no luck,
has this happend to anyone here, and if so how can i fix it, i really want my boy to be happy, he really likes this game.

Without providing the specs of your computer, it's difficult to determine what the problem is. Also, have you tried to re-install java?

Try to uninstall java and then reinstall it. Then try restarting your computer and it should work properly

not really sure the specs on the PC , not sure if theres such a thing as a stock XPS 420 but thats what i have, and its running Windows Vista. and Intel core 2 Viiv.

ok i uninstalled java 7 update 55 and reintalled java 7 update 55 seemed to be the newest version, but still no luck.
maybe i am doing something wrong , i go to my sons minecraft server , i turn that on than i go to minecraft 1.7.5 than open that , login , choose a world, than it starts to load the terrain , than once it loads .......... dead in the water! frozen , than i go to X out and i ge tthe promt Java™ Platform SE binary is not responding

what could i be doing wrong , or do i need to install anything else?
