Hi
I just setup an account and bought minecraft this morning and I can't access multiplayer.
If I enter a server ip like so:
play.hivemc.com
and connect, it says "connecting to server" for a while, then gives me an error message:
"Failed to connect to server"
java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information:
I have tried many servers but get the same problem.
Help much appreciated.

*SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH*
Try this:
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Go to Windows Firewall (It's inside System and Security)
3. Press "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall" in the left.
4. Press "Change Settings"
5. Press "Allow another program..."
6. Select "Minecraft"
7. Press "Add"/"OK"/"Accept" (I'm using Windows in Spanish, I don't know what the button says xD)
8. Search "Minecraft" in the list and mark "Private" if you're using a private network or both "Public" and "Private" if you're using a public network.
