I've been playing on a world for a few months now, and I was going on vacation, so I put the world on my laptop via usb flash drive. I loaded the world, and it had some pretty big chunk errors around spawn. When I got back from vacation, I transferred the world back to my desktop computer. I startd up my server so my friends could join, but the errors were still there, and when the server started, the console read, "[Error] : Chunk file at (number, number) is in the wrong location; relocating" five or six times, with different numbers (I'm guessing coordinates) each time. I've tried restarting the server, but no. If there's any command or file I can edit or use, let me know. I am running Minecraft 14w17a on both pc's, and both are windows 7 64 bit operating systems. Thanks in advance.
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.
