Morning. Very new to this. Bought minecraft online for grandsons. I downloaded minecraft.exe to my download file then ran it. Went thru the launch screen then on to the screen that has the Update notes, development console, etc. Then clicked on the PLAY box at the bottom only to be directed to a screen that first showed the MOJANG word/logo, followed by the entire box disappearing and I was right back to the previous screen. Can someone help me. I've trried to load this several times to no avail.

The game is crashing. Post the contents of the "Development Console" tab in the UI after one of your failed attempts to play the game. It should contain a hint or two at what the problem is.
