I am playing the single player version of Minecraft. When I go to one specific area, my FPS drops so far down as to be unplayable, and I can only make a movement every 10 seconds or so. This only happens in one distinct area. If I move away from that area, things go normally.
Any ideas on what is happening and how it could be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Or if u want, upload u world to an filehoster and give use the link and we fix it for u.
(If we fix it for u we need to know what Version of Minecraft u use for testing after the fix)
I tried Region Fixer but it didn't find any problems. I also tried deleting chunks around where the problem happens with MC-Edit but that didn't do anything either.
Where do I find the file to upload my world? I've never done that before.

Thank you very much for your efforts. Unfortunately I still had the same problem when I opened the edited world you uploaded. However, I seem to have discovered the problem -- when I switched my render distance to 5 chunks, the problem went away. I have no idea why this was the problem because it was running fine at 8 chunks for a long time, but in any case it seems resolved. Thanks again!

Sorry for late answer:
- Have u copy the folder in u save or copy the files in u old world folder? (Last one bring the errors back.)
- Use u Texture/Resource packs? (Minecraft got each version hungrier and Texture/Resource packs mack it a lot waster on not so high-end PC´s)
- If this frame drop near u Monster Trap? (changing water flow need some CPU Power)

Sounds like an chunk or entity problem.
U can use the command line tool "Minecraft-Region-Fixer" (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/302380-minecraft-region-fixer/),
or u can try MC-Edit and his "Repair Region" funktion. (http://www.mcedit.net/).

Where do I find the file to upload my world? I've never done that before.
Look at:
C:\Users\LOGINNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves
Pleas compress u world folder before upload. Its an pain in the As. to download hundred of files separate.
(Use Winzip, WinRar, 7Zip, ...)
