1.7.9 Plain doesn't work? I've tried everything

I cant seem to get 1.7.9 to work at all :/ I've deleted all my mods, resource packs, tried a brand new proile along with deleting the 1.7.9 folder file etc.. still same error

You may need to reset your Minecraft settings to default. To do so, open your .minecraft directory and delete the file called 'options.txt'.

To get at Minecraft's locally stored files using the launcher, start the launcher. Press Edit Profile, then Open Game Dir.
