recently i started my minecraft launcher and the play button is grayed out so i can't click it. the right side says "Welcome, guest! Please log in. Loading versions..." with a grayed out "log out" button below it
anyone know the problem or a solution to this?
thanksafter i screwed around with the launcher a bit, it led me to a login screen.
when I log in with my account, the log in button grays out and the bar below it just has this green thing moving repeatedly across it (i have windows 7)

Hi,
Are you using a custom windows theme? If so, please remove it, they are known to cause issues with the launcher's UI.
Also; You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to the Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP).
Uninstall everything that says Java in the name.
Then, go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html to re-install Java.
