So me and a mate are trying to play minecraft together, But there have been some issues on his side.
The version of minecraft he had hadn't been updated to the new launcher. He got the new launcher. He can get the game to launch and Get the "mojang" for a couple of seconds, but then it goes full screen and stays black. We can hear the music of the startup screen but we can't see anything, even if we wait forever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. (on a mac, if that helps)

Now also having problems with account validation. won't validate email, won't resend activation email.

If anyone can offer suggestions with either issue we would be most grateful.
