Hello everybody. I figured it would be fun to have my own little language in Minecraft, but I can't seem to figure out how I add it to Minecraft. I have tried to find out of this by watching YT videos, but they all seem to be outdated, with the old Minecraft launcher. I used to change my language often when the old launcher was around, but when I updated I didn't bother figuring it out.
Now that I want to figure out how to do it, I can't seem to understand it. Do I need to add the language to the special version of Minecraft I am playing, or do I have to make a recourse pack for it? If I have to make a recourse pack for it, would it then be possible to add it to another recourse pack like faithful?
It would be really nice if you could tell me how. By the way, I already made my language, I just need help with adding it in to Minecraft with a button in the language options. Thanks!
As far as I know you can 'layer' resource packs. One may only provide textures, another only sound. The order that the resource packs are applied would presumably control how conflicts between resource packs are resolved.
I think that you do it via a resource pack.
If you look in assets/indexes/1.7.4.json for example, you can see language entries:
