I'm running Windows 8.1 and the Minecraft launcher is not opening up since I did the Windows updates today. While looking at Task Manager when attempting to run the launcher, Java Platform SE binary quickly pops up then closes.
Things I have tried:
Download latest launcher from website (Both .exe and .jar)
Delete .minecraft folder and try to run
Reinstalled Java (Both x86 and x64)
Run as admin
Run in compatability for Windows 7
Restarted computer multiple times
In the Windows Event Viewer it shows multiple Application Error with Event ID 1000. The time these occur is when I try to run the Minecraft launcher.
Any help is appreciated. I am unable to get on Minecraft to manage my server because of this issue.
EDIT: I found out the problem was caused by Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit. I am not sure why this program decided to block the execution of .jar files after Windows updates, but it did.
