When i tried to download the minecraft client it said "the registry refers to a nonexistent Java runtime environment installation or the runtime is corrupted" Please do not tell me to update Java, i did that more then 5 times. if you have a legitimate suggestion that would be greatly appreciated.
Instead of just updated, you need to reinstall Java completely.
First, go to Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP). Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to re-install Java.
