So, i have a problem that is annoying me for a long time.
My minecraft can use 16384MB of RAM (i think its RAM :P), but it only uses 1%, like 100MB-150MB
how can i make so it can use more memory?
Why would you want it to use more? You should be allocating less. 512 mb would be plenty to run it. The only reason you would ever need to allocate 16 GB of ram would be if you were using at least 200 mods, and it REALLY needed the extra space.
Making a game use more RAM than it actually needs is not a good idea because it slows down the system. It's like asking you to do some shopping for someone. You only need to remember three things but then the one you shop for makes you remember where their keys are, their cellphone number, what their house looks like and the complete layout of the street. You don't need to know that when shopping for him/her and as such the game doesn't need to use more memory than necessary.
