I'm running the game in vanilla single player mode on Win 7 with 3 single player saves
Alright, I've searched these forums until blue in the face for sounds, sound packs, restoring sound, etc.
Downloading default sound pack to solve a issue that was created by the developers? wow, that's just not cool. Most fo the sound pack downloads come from "iffy" websites. I shouldn't have to hassle with looking for a fix? Really, break something and then leave it to the customer to come up with some half-wit work-a-round to fix it?
After the really annoying game sound change on April fools day (which was funny for the first 1-2 mins), my weather sounds are now completely gone. No rain, no thunder, just silence. Even after the "so-called" server side sound restoration, I still had problems with the sound. While one saved game would play the default sounds, another would still have those silly and anooying April Fools sounds.
All sounds are turned on in the options panel. As far as I can tell, the other sounds are working properly, but IDK, after all the hassle of trying to restore the sound, this is getting on my nerves now.
I've resorted to deleting the entire game files in the roaming directory, allowing them to reload from the online server and the weather sounds are still gone.
I like minecraft, and was concidering getting the realms package when its available, but after this prank that has essentially broken the sound, nah, not going to happen.
