So just by the topic title, I am running Minecraft on a Surface Pro.
It USE to be compatible, but ever since the new update to 1.7.5, Minecraft no longer runs. I get an exit 1 error which means that my graphics drivers need to be updated.
That's the issue. There are no further updates for the drivers for the Intel® HD Graphics 4000 chipset. Which means, because there are no driver updates at this time, I'm running DX 11, and everything is up-to-date, my computer is no longer capable to run Minecraft.
Because I'm not about to trade in a five hundred dollar piece of hardware for a two hundred dollar pile of trash, does anyone have any input on what to do in this circumstance.
