I've been playing minecraft for over a year and every time I wander into any kind of plains or savanas my minecraft locks up and the computer says java stops working. I can play the game a lot if I'm in forests, underground, oceans and most other biomes. Plains and to a lesser extent savanas always crash my java. Why?? It makes exploring virtually impossible and extremely overly time-consuming. I've taken my chunks setting down to 2 and have set the particles to minimal yet I still crash in plains. I run win7 - 64bit on a dual core 3Gb processor and have a 32 bit 2Gb vid card. I've also played the game on both normal and high java priority and set the affinity process to both "all processors and cpu 1" only. I still crash if I'm away from my home ( that's set in forest ) and I'm exploring in virtually any plains biome? Any ideas anyone? It's seriously making the game not fun to keep having to restart so blasted many times... TY for any possible ideas to fix this
