I'm playing Minecraft for Mac and have a very nasty issue. The thing is that the game performance drops down to 3-4 FPS when my character turns around. It happens even if nothing is really happening around, but it is more severe when some mobs are attacking me.
I doubt it is because of the poor performance rate of my graphical subsystem, because my system specs are pretty decent to my opinion. I'm referring to this doc. And this issue is a bit less frequent when I'm playing in a window instead of the full screen.
I'm pretty frustrated that I bought the game and can not simply play it. I'd appreciate if someone from Mojang could help me out.
My specs:
MacBook Pro 15-inch, Early 2011
2GHz Core i7
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6490M
SSD
OS X 10.9.2
Java 1.6.0_65 (tried to launch on Java 7, but experienced the same issue)
Minecraft 1.7.5

Hi.
That seems to be a bug on Mavericks and only affects full screen and so far I have not found a sollution. Also, have you installed Optifine as that can give you a nice boost.
