Ok so I have trying to figure out this problem for over a month now and I have found no answers.
So here is how the problem goes:
I can't see my own custom player skin in singleplayer or multiplayer.
✓ Yes I have no mods installed ✓ Yes I have deleted my .minecraft and reloaded a new one ✓ Yes I have closed and restarted my client and launcher ✓ Yes I have a legit account ✓ No my account isn't hacked (or I hope it isn't) ✓ Yes I use a anti-virus software: AVG ✓ Yes I allowed Java and Minecraft through the firewall
• I use Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1 • Processor can without a doubt support Minecraft • 32 GB of Memory • 64bit operating system
Additional Information: This problem only seems to be happening on my custom built computer. On my alternate laptops I have played Minecraft and I can see my own skin and everything runs normal.
Please assist, I have no idea how to fix this and what else to do.

Have you tried using other skins? Perhaps the one skin your using isn't correctly configured (it doesn't have the right dimensions, or more likely it's a 1.8 skin).

No I haven't tried other skins yet, and I guess its worth a try, but I know for a fact my skin is not 1.8 skin.
Custom built computer eh? I see the only soulution is switching to a legit computer
... Legit? I had my computer built to support power to that of Pixar's animation staff. Its legit. Not just some junky put together thing.
Besides you know how crappy everyday consumer computers/laptops are, especially when it comes to gaming.
Can you see anyone's skin at all?
Skins are downloaded on demand from the skin server, so anytime you can't retrieve them you are shown the default skin.
Sometimes small graphics downloads like a skin are blocked by adblockers, or web bug blockers, or the like.

Again I have been dealing with this long before today.
When I play I can only see the default Steve skin (even today!)
I also am playing on both 1.6.4 and 1.7.5.
Please assist...
