So ever since Friday as of last week (the 28th) I've began receiving various issues with minecraft.
It began with random lag spikes -- this happened on several different servers (all using bukkit) but basically I'd randomly start getting around 800-900 ms before receiving errors that the remote host disconnected me from the server and then another error that basically was just 'the server is down' and sometimes it won't let me connect without a full client restart and from time to time the launcher crashes.
I've tried the following
- Restarting PC
- Deleting .Minecraft
- Downgrading to Java 6
- Installing a new Launcher
- Disabling texture packs
I believe this is an issue on my PC however as I can connect fine via mobile chat clients and when I ping the servers via cmd I get 40 ms on average to the servers in question.
I'm currently running the latest version of Java 6 and the current version of the vanilla launcher and running on 1.7.4 ; I've tried 1.7.2 and I avoid 1.7.5 because I feel that I receive this issue more oftenly than not with that version and am unable to connect to other servers whilst using older versions.
So I can safely say that the issue is not
a.) connection related
b.) performance related (due to bad hardware ; although it's possibly hardware related with incompatibility but doubtful)
c.) Related to plugins or the default launcher
My suspicions are with it being either
a.) Java
b.) Bukkit
c.) Windows (perhaps an update?)
d.) all of the above
Any and all help is appreciated.
