By server lag, I mean Minecraft would run fine with my normal fps and everything. It's just that the servers don't respond fast enough. Players would float in mid-air. I would fall through the void and resurface within a block and be unable to move out. That kind of lag.
On Single Player, everything works perfectly.
Anyway, it goes for all servers. Mineplex, Bee hive (?), and even vanilla minecraft servers (not local). I considered the fact that it may be my internet connection being messed up, but I don't think that's the case as I could download movies and stream HD and everything just fine. It cannot also be my laptop's problem, as I've tried it on my other laptop (a Sony Vaio. I think that's capable enough) and the problem persists. Only I have a higher frame rate lol.
I've yet to try connecting through another connection other than my house's. Any help please?
Solutions I've tried:
• Deleting my minecraft folder in Application Support, thus prompting me to downloading everything from scratch when I started the launcher. The problem persists.
• Deleting for extra hard drive space. Though I really don't think this has anything to do with my problem, as my Vaio is relatively new. It has over 400/500 GB of space idk.
Notes:
• My Minecraft is purely vanilla, and there are no mods installed. No texturepacks. Not even OptiFine.
• Yes, Java is updated.
• ALSO! This is very important. When I roam in the seemingly frozen server (everyone's suspended in action, or walking at a very slow pace), the map generates like normal. I could walk around see the map, I just can't interact with blocks as if I break them, no resource float thing would appear for me to collect, or I'd disconnect after a few seconds.
• I can't talk on chat. Well, I can, but my chat would appear after like 5 minutes or something.
Please. This is frustrating. It feels like Mojang has black-listed my name on every server prompting me to lag like hell because I know the internet works just fine. I wouldn't have been able to load the server's map if that wasn't the case.
In case this is Mojang black-listing me from every server (I don't see why they'd do this. This is highly unlikely, but plausible nontheless), my in game name is Mycrouft.
Also lastly, I'll eventually get disconnected with the error:io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException
I know that's an error that usually happens when "bad chunk loading" happens (i.e. player gets stuck within a block). It is therefore in the server owner's hand to restart the server to fix the bug. However, in my case, it happens to every single server.
