When trying to run any java program (server, Minecraft, FTB) the allocated memory maxes out at around 490 MB. In the picture below I tried to allocate 2GB of RAM. http://i.imgur.com/z3wgztc.png But in game I max out at 455 MB. Sometimes this number changes to 480 and back. http://i.imgur.com/GLF6zun.png I have tried these steps to fix It: 1. Reinstaling Java 2. Reinstalling Minecraft 3. Adding -Xincgc as a parameter
I leave my computer specifications and other info below:
Intel i7-3820 3.60GHz CPU 32 GB DDr3 RAM 64-bit Architecture Windows 7 Professional 2-way SLI: GTX 570 1.5 GB
Please, any help would be much appreaciated! This conflict is getting in the way of my gaming and server hosting. If you have any questions or need more details do not hesitate to leave a comment!
I did exactly as you said!
It did work after I added -Xincgc to my minecraft java variables. Thank you so much! This has been a huge problem for me, and I am glad it is out of the way!
