I'm trying to download 1.7.2, but the loading bar in the client stops fully after filling up then either stops at the end or in the middle of it. I look to the console and apparently, I cannot download some files. I've already turned off my firewall, reinstalled java and even turned off my anti-virus (Windows Defender).
The file might be broken or deleted, try downloading other versions of minecraft, maybe 1.7.5....
You are missing the twitch integration plugin and Google's 'Guava'...I have another way but its against the forum rules...

Finally a reply. I've actually tried to download all of the versions and to no avail, they've all failed.
And yeah, I know what you mean about the other way. Thanks for replying at least.
The files are not missing or deleted... The urls are right in the log, and they work.
So something on your system is blocking them, twitch perhaps because it has native DLLs in it (which would implicate an antivirus program)
You can manually use the URLs in your log to put the files where they belong if need be.

Okay, so I'll just manually download from the URLs which would be the Twitch and Guava Google thingy and put them into the library? Thing is I don't know where in the library I should put them.
As for the twitch thing, I've already turned off my anti-virus and firewall to be sure. (Windows Defender)
Really appreciate the response.
Okay, I managed to get the files manually and put them in the folders. I tried launching but it's still not working.
Here is the log that I get: http://pastebin.com/dh5dcaJM
Looks like this assumption was wrong: [09:04:42 INFO]: Finished downloading C:\Users\NICK ANGELO\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.7.2\1.7.2.jar for job 'Version & Libraries': Couldn't connect to server (SocketTimeoutException: 'Read timed out') but have local file, assuming it's good
I deleted the 1.7.2.jar in the versions folder and it still doesn't work.
Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/LFELADtj
I noticed this line: [00:23:43 INFO]: Client> Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraft.client.main.Main
maybe it will be of some help.
The log you posted still says "have local file" which shouldn't happen after you delete it.... the Main class of the minecraft client should be in the 1.7.2.jar, that's why I suggested deleting it, because it appears to be damaged or incomplete.
Oh well, thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
I also recently learned that my ISP is having maintenance for a month, causing really weird download speeds and internet problems maybe that's why I'm not able to download some files.
EDIT: I got my minecraft to work by switching to my other ISP I have at home. Somehow the other one really doesn't work.

- I have Java 7 Update 51
I've done some searching regarding this problem, and none of the fixes so far have helped.
Kindly respond, Thanks.

Delete that file and try again.
